Shaping
Brake-pressing
Further processing of plate work and punchings can be performed on CNC TrumaBend press brakes with reverse stops and an older Lodd-brand crank folding machine. Max. bend length is 3230 mm at a strength from 85t to 400t.
Pressing
Presses are used mainly for bending, cutting and drawing sheets. We have 29 mechanical presses available with strengths from 25t to 800t.
Bending of profiles and bars
We use XOTH bending machines for profiles and rod material. Maximum dimensions for profiles are xx mm and the maximum diameter for bent pipes is xx mm.
Welding
HERN s.r.o. provides joining of materials using several welding methods, mainly:
MAG (metal active gas welding)
RSW (resistance welding)
Stud Weld - welding of fasteners
Other welding methods available upon request.
The company holds a certificate of quality in welding under EN ISO 3834-2 and is subject to ongoing customer audits ( CATERPILLAR 7SWE = 7 steps of welding excellence)
The most common welded material is construction steal (S235, S355,S420, but also S700 and HARDOX 450) in profiles and sheets.
The welded parts are 1 to 600kg heavy, with size up to 2000x2000x2000mm
The company carries out inspection of welded joints according to the internal specifications of the customer, but mainly according to STN EN ISO 5817 grade C.
The inspection is provided by certified personnel for
non-destructive inspection:
VT2 (visual testing level 2)
MT2 (magnetic testing level 2)
UT2 (ultrasonic testing level 2)
destructive inspection:
Macro analysis of the welded joint
The company offers the capacity of 50 sites for manual welding and 9 sites for robotic welding.
The manual welding sites are equipped with professional inverter based welding power sources FRONIUS and CLOOS and quality ESAB and LINDE filler metals. These sites are also equipped with handlers, pillar cranes and bridges with carrying capacity up to 10 tons. The positioning of the welded parts is realised via pantograph and orbital positioners with the weight capacity up to 2.5 tons. All welders attend regular practical, theoretical and security training and hold adequate certificates, such as: EN ISO 9606-1 or EN 1418.
The robotic welding is provided by the CLOOS company. We use state of the art, highly productive methods, such as contactless laser positioning, tandem welding, quick clamping system for welding jig replacement, ...
Our custom tool room offering welding and inspection jigs provides a further advantage to the welding process.

Surface treatment
Powder coating line NOVA –S
Our state of the art powder coating line provides pretreatment using a (trication) zinc phosphate. The process consists of 13 steps: degreasing, staining, activation of zinc phosphate, passivation and rinsing.
This is followed by a cataphoretic coating, the base coat of the paint system on the product. It is one of the most modern and economically viable painting technologies of metal products.
The thickness of the cataphoretic coat (RAL9005): 15 – 30 µm
The quality of the powder coating depends mainly on the pretreatment of the base coat, the choice of the method of coating and the application. Our powder coating is realised using the Wagner electrostatic technology The powder coats are applied in the range from 60 to 120 µm.
the maximum dimensions of parts that can be treated with a cataphoretic coat and a powder coat are 2500x1300x1500 mm and tge maximum weight capacity is 500 kg.
Corrosion resistance under ISO 9227: 1008 h in salt spray
